Mr. Ryan Richardson is a Fluvial Geomorphologist with 10+ years of experience in river restoration, remote sensing, and project management across the country. He is a licensed Professional Geologist (PG) and applies his geologic training to assess, design, and implement stream restoration projects through an applied geomorphological framework. Ryan has completed Levels I-IV of the Wildlands Hydrology and has co-instructed processed-based river restoration-focused courses in the Portland State University – Environmental Professional Program. His well-rounded restoration experience allows our team to use the best available design techniques for our projects based on site conditions and project objectives. Ryan started his career working in river science at the Rocky Mountain Research Station for the US Forest Service and later for the Bureau of Land Management. He graduated with a degree in Earth Science and Political Science (2013) from Furman University and holds a Masters in Geography – Water Resources from The University of Wyoming (2016). Ryan’s research is published in the Transactions of the American Fisheries Society where he and his colleagues focus on expanding the capabilities of fluvial remote sensing to the riverscape.
