The property is located in Jackson County, Kansas City, Missouri. The property is a seven-story contributing building to the Wholesale, also referred to as the Garment, Historic District. The Wholesale District displays an array of commercial architecture with models of Victorian designs and provides an intact streetscape reminiscent of commercial and industrial character with a Chicago influence.

The property’s building was completed in 1905 by George L. Brown and Son. Designed by architect Adriance Van Brunt and Brother, the façade is redbrick-clad with Chicago sash windows.

Historically the building has been referred as the Frankel, Frank, and Company Building, however recently it has been renamed to the Garment House. The conservation easement will prohibit activities which are inconsistent with the goal of ensuring that the property will be retained forever. Implementation of the conservation easement will ensure the protection historic values that the building contributes to the historic district.
