Past Projects

MORTON ARBORETUM LISLE, IL

The wetland creation at the Morton Arboretum was to increase habitat diversity in an oak savannah and prairie community. It involved the removal of legacy sediments, contouring the land surface and revegetation.

HARD LABOR CREEK RESERVOIR-MITIGATION, SOCIAL CIRCLE, GA

This site was one of five sites used as mitigation for the Hard Labor Creek Reservoir in Monroe County, Georgia. The park setting required the utmost concern for aesthetics and minimizing long-term maintenance. Large trees were constructed around to maintain old growth forests.

LITTLE SANDY CREEK MITIGATION BANK, JACKSON, GA

The Little Sandy Creek Mitigation Bank represented one of the largest banks in Georgia with dozens of miles of stream restoration. Small agricultural ponds were removed along with ditches in order to restore streams and wetland habitat.

HARRISON BLUFF, LAKE GUNTERSVILLE, ALABAMA

The conservation of Harrison Bluff is a real estate partnership Conservation Easement. The undeveloped land was conserved to preserve the caves which are the home to the Indiana Bat. The Indiana Bat has only a few known homes left. The bat is on the Federal Endangered list. The conservation also protected the threatened Hart’s Tongue Fern.
