Ms. Katherine Harrell is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies. She assisted in completing two undergraduate research publications through UNC’s Institute for the Environment, assessing the stream health of a major river system in western North Carolina and determining the distribution and range of specific tree species throughout the southeastern Appalachian Mountains. Her background includes a mixture of forestry management, species surveys, habitat assessments, stream ecology, utility vegetation management, sustainable agriculture, and wetlands delineations. Harrell is an FAA-certified sUAS Remote Pilot in Command and is also a certified arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture. She will be finishing her PADI diving certification early this year.
