Luke Meherg is an accomplished environmental scientist with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Auburn University. With a passion for preserving and protecting our natural ecosystems, Luke has dedicated his career to making a positive impact in the environmental field. He has gained a variety of experience in the environmental field throughout his career working in fisheries monitoring, invasive species control, wildlife management and forestry. Over the past four and a half years, Luke has been instrumental in stream and wetland mitigation bank establishment and monitoring projects. His extensive services in this industry include conducting baseline data collection, site selection, overseeing construction processes, preparing as-built reports, geomorphic stream monitoring , assessing groundwater hydrology, tracking streamflow, and conducting comprehensive biological community sampling encompassing vegetation, macroinvertebrates, and fisheries. Luke is also proficient in soil assessments, wetland delineations, and water quality sampling. Luke’s commitment to continuous professional growth has led him to receive specialized training in natural channel design under the mentorship of renowned expert Dave Rosgen. Furthermore, he holds scientific collection permits for biological stream sampling in both Georgia and Tennessee. Luke is motivated to make a lasting difference in the field and to contribute to sustainable practices and the preservation of our precious natural resources.
