Ms. Jena Turner has 8 years of experience working on ecological restoration projects throughout the Eastern and Southern United States. Ms. Turner holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Mount St. Mary’s University and a Masters of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Idaho. Ms. Turner started her career working on stream restoration and design projects within the Chesapeake Bay Watershed (CBW) area of Maryland as part of Maryland’s TMDL Program through the Clean Water Act (CWA). During her time working in the CBW, Ms. Turner assisted primarily with producing stream and wetland restoration design plans using Natural Stream Channel Design in AutoCAD Civil 3D as well as additional deliverables in GIS. Ms. Turner’s technical skills include stream geomorphic assessments, wetland and stream identification and delineation, wetland and stream quality assessments, threatened and endangered species habitat functional assessment and surveys, mitigation and restoration design, technical writing, and creating deliverables in both AutoCAD and GIS. She has experience working with multi-disciplinary teams to perform natural resource assessments and turn-key mitigation plans to offset impacts to natural resources. After approximately 6 years in the National-Capital region, Ms. Turner relocated to Charlotte, NC where she was able to continue working in ecological consulting prior to joining TBG. She has experience working for a range of clientele including the public sector, heavy industry, and non-profit. Ms. Turner additionally has experience in grant writing for grant-funded restoration projects. As a project manager, she has experience leading and working with interdisciplinary teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements for clients in a competitive and fast-paced environment.
