Katie Richardson,

Hydrologic Technician

Ms. Richardson earned a Bachelor’s degree focused on Geology from the College of Coastal Georgia. During her time as an undergraduate, Katie contributed to several research projects centered around the wetlands of coastal Georgia. Katie’s research includes soil quality and groundwater monitoring, wetland delineation, and fossil excavation. She also has experience with vegetative community assessments, geomorphic surveys, and with habitat assessments. She has participated in various presentations, most recently at the Georgia Water Resource Conference, where she presented on a fluvial deposition event of the Pleistocene Era. Ms. Richardson was also a contributing scientist to a publication written about the tidal flooding of Little Cumberland Island, Ga. Katie plans to continue working towards earning her Professional Geologist (PG) license.
